Mike is currently Division Chief/Fire Marshal for the Albany, OR Fire Department where for over six years he has led four Deputy Fire Marshals in the Fire and Life Safety Division. Prior to joining the City of Albany, Mike served the Redmond (WA) Fire Department for 13 years, with the last 8 serving as an Assistant Fire Marshal overseeing program management of fire maintenance inspections and fire investigations. Mike has been in the fire service since 1977,serving as a firefighter, EMT Cardiac Technician, and Fire Investigator. His last 25 years have been spent in Fire Prevention, including 2 years in the private sector conducting Fire Protection Engineering work. Mike has served as the Eastside HazMat Teamís Leader/Coordinator, and is familiar with hazardous material response and code-related issues.
